Where to get lunch

The Refectory on campus has a range of hot and cold dishes and plenty of seating.
The Students Union is right next to the refectory and hosts a number of takeaway outlets.
Opposite the campus main entrance on Woodhouse Lane there are several takeaways (such as Bakery 164) and cafes (including the aptly named Opposite).
There are more cafes and takeaways on Great George Street, which is slightly to the south of campus, on the other side of the hospital.
The Edit Room next to the School of Mathematics serves coffees and a limited selection of sandwiches and pizzas.

Where to have dinner

Home (Jia) is Derek Harland's favourite Chinese restaurant
Thai Edge is a good place to take a large group and close to campus
Sukothai is a (slightly) more upmarket Thai restaurant
Whitelocks claims to be the oldest pub in Leeds and serves good food
Shabab is a good Indian restaurant
Akbars is a good Indian restaurant where you can order a dish made from sheep's brain (and plenty of more palatable options!)
Tharavadu is a Michelin-listed Indian restaurant focussing on the Kerala region

The conference dinner

The conference dinner will be at University House. This is next door to the Refectory (where you may go for lunch). The dinner starts at 6pm on Wednesday.
